Efficient Solar Water Heater

Solar water heater is an Eco-friendly water heater. It used the sun light to heat the water. It has a close coupled storage tank and solar collector. Here solar collector is used to heat the water with the help of the sunlight and the heated water is storage in a PUF tank. The PUF tank can maintain the water temperature up to 12 hrs.
But it is not giving full Output as an electric heater (or) Boiler heaters.  For example in a small electrical water heater we can get full heated water to its capacity continuously because it heats water instantly and giving to us. But in solar water heater if 100 liter capacities tank we are can get 50 liters of heat water per day.  So we are getting the 50% of water is heating per day from the total capacity of the tank.
But in the efficient solar water heater we can take 100 liters full hot water a day at the temperature of 60°c to 75°c.
Working of normal solar water heater

  • The solar water heater consist of the Inlet, Outlet
  • Normally the hot water is light weighted so that it will be in the upper position of the water tank
  • The cold water weighted so that it will be lower position of the water tank
  • The solar water will be inclined position so the hot water is going upper position of the tank and the cold water is coming to the lower position of the tank is done automatically
  • It heats the water in the solar collectors
  • In the inner view of the tank the outlet pipe has more height than the drain
  • It so height because then only the hot water in the upper side we can use it
  • The drain pipe is which given is to clean the tank.

Working of the efficient solar water heater

  • In this we just changing the outlet connection of the solar water heater
  • By changing the inlet as the outlet we can use the full tank capacity as the hot water
  • The tanks which doesn’t have drain we have to inter change the inlet and outlet connection  of the tank because inlet is down and the outlet is up side of the tank
  • But we have to install the valve in the inlet of the tank to avoid the mixing of the cold water and hot water
  • We can automate the process with the solenoid valve controlled by the timer
  • We can put the solenoid valve for the outlet and we want set the time in timer for the particular time  when we want the output

Uses
It will be very use full for
  1. Homes
  2. School and college hostels
  3. Hotels and lodges..etc

Advantages
  1. We are using the natural resource as the heating element so there is of maintenances and there is no recurring expenses
  2. We can save the trees which are used to burned in the boiler

Disadvantage
  1. Investment cost is high but we can get it in the recurring expenses for that we have to wait
  2. We are using the inlet as the outlet so it have chance to contaminated the hot water with impurities and salts so we can use this in soft water not in hard water but if we use electronics softener we can use the hard water
